If you want to combine exciting experiences, beautiful landscapes and culture with upscale accommodation, this is also possible in Uganda. Here are no wishes left!

In addition to the classics Chimpanzee and Gorilla Tracking and Queen Elizabeth National Park, this tour offers you another day to relax and discover the surroundings of Lake Bunyonyi, probably the most beautiful lake in Uganda

Itineraries

Day 1

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We pick you up early in the morning at the airport in Entebbe or at your accommodation in Entebbe / Kampala and head immediately to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way we gain a first impression of everyday life when passing by markets or herdsmen with their Ankole Longhorn cattle. In the evening we enjoy the view on Kazinga Channel from our accommodation with anticipation of the next day. Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge Meals: lunch and dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included

Day 2

Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

We start our game drive early in the morning. As long as temperatures are still low the animals are more active. The chance to see lions, hyenas and leopards is now quite good. Moreover there is the possibility of a walking safari where we can see with some luck chimpanzees (not habituated) and other species of monkeys. Besides this we can always enjoy the variety of bird life. In the afternoon we change perspective and join a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. This natural channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George. It also hosts one of the world's densest hippo populations and of course a large number of Nile crocodiles. With the rising temperatures of the day many animals come to the water and we can hopefully watch them while they cool down. Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included

Day 3

Chimpanzee Tracking and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest

This morning we start off for another fascinating experience, the chimpanzee of which about 70 animals are habituated. First we hear the calls of the animals and possibly the booming beating on tree trunks before we have to leave again, but we will hopefully remember many beautiful moments. We then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where we stay overnight inside the park. On the way we already enjoy the beautiful mountain landscapes of Southwestern Uganda. Accommodation: Wild Olives Lodge   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Drinks: Water while driving, other drinks not included

Day 4

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today we experience the absolute highlight of the trip when we meet the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Together with Rangers we search for one of seven habituated gorilla families. Depending on their location this search may take more or less time. But no matter how long it takes, it's worth the effort. We can see the immense power of these animals, but also the calm and serenity of the adult animals as the youngsters playfully chase through the group. We have an hour to take pictures and record as many beautiful memories as possible. Back from this impressive experience we make our way to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda. Accommodation: Arcadia Cottages Meals: breakfast, lunch or lunchbox and dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included

Day 5

Around Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda. By the way, Bunyonyi means "place of many little birds". We explore the lake by canoe and visit some of its 29 islands. A visit to the Batwa in Karengerere, who originally inhabited the forests of the area, shows us a completely different world. As they still live in the mountains, we have a fantastic view of the lake from there. Other beautiful places we can be found on a hike. We can complement this day with a visit to the orphans of Mwendo, who welcome us singing and dancing. After these various impressions we stay overnight again on Kyahugye Island. Accommodation: Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included

Day 6

Drive to Kigali, Rwanda or Kampala/Entebbe

After a hearty breakfast, we leave Lake Bunyonyi and bring you to Kigali or Entebbe/Kampala as you wish. Meals: Breakfast Drinks: Water while driving, other drinks not included
